The Art’s Curriculum

At Parkland School the Arts Curriculum will see students learning about and participating in Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts. The Arts is an integral part of Parkland School’s Curriculum, which enables our students to explore and develop their knowledge, skills and experiences over the four disciplines.  They are encouraged to work both independently and collaboratively in the Arts.  Our aim is to produce students who are creative and confident when producing and celebrating their Artistic works.

School Production - Awesome Aotearoa

Our school production 'Awesome Aotearoa' will be held this term on the 23rd of June at the Regent Theatre.  As the name suggests the production is New Zealand themed and each class will be performing an item based around New Zealand places, icons, culture and history.  Over the next 6 weeks there will be a lot of work going on behind the scenes to get each classes item ready for the big night.  If you could help out in anyway, such as sewing costumes, building and painting props, or have expertise in Kapahaka please see Tasha Cravino in Room 10.
