Type of School

Parkland School is a 'Contributing School.' This means we cater for children in Years 1 to 6. The majority of our students then go across to Ross Intermediate for Years 7 & 8.

Enrolment Scheme

An Enrolment Scheme operates at Parkland School. If you have a pre-school child and are looking for an exceptional school with traditional values please make sure you contact the principal to arrange a tour of the school.

Full details regarding the enrolment procedure are available from the school office.
At present there are places available for out of zone students so please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Enrolment of Pupils

Pupils may not start school prior to their 5th birthday. It is helpful if children are placed on our pre-enrolment list well before their birthday.

The admission procedure requires the child’s birth certificate (not a copy) to be sighted and copied, and for a health card and an enrolment form to be completed.  We are also required to sight and copy the vaccination certificate.

To ease the transition to school your child is encouraged to attend the new entrant room from 8.50am – 10.50am for a visit before beginning school.  Please arrange these visits through the office.

A meeting of parents who have children starting in the next term is usually held on the last Monday evening of each term.  An invitation will be sent to parents we are aware of.  A sheet outlining full enrolment details is available from the office.

Stationery

Stationery is made available to children on the first school day each year to ensure a prompt start to programmes of work.

Stationery is available for sale at the school office each morning between 8.30am and 8.50am at competitive prices and throughout the remainder of the year.  New entrants will be provided with requirements on enrolment.
