Welcome! 
​We are excited to welcome past pupils and staff, as well as members of our community to visit us for our birthday celebrations.  All are welcome, including current whanau and friends. 

Guided tours of the school will be available throughout the morning from 9:30am - 10:40am. Our Student Leaders are looking forward to welcoming you. You will be able to visit each class, take in the environment, see the learning on the walls, in books and on display, as well as talk to our students.   Each classroom will also have evidence of their learning, and we would love you to enjoy spending time in each room.  Our students are looking forward to meeting you.

Alternatively you are welcome to wander around the grounds and visit classrooms at your leisure, at a time that suits. All we ask is that you complete your tour of the classrooms before 1:40pm, when our children head back inside after lunch break, for their Buddy Class sessions. 

You are able to visit the hall throughout the morning, and enjoy the hundreds of photos and special items we have on display for you from our first 50 years. There will be displays from each class, illustrating their learning and showing their love of our school. Tea, coffee and light refreshments are available in the staffroom throughout the day.  Please ask the Student Leaders to show you the location of our amenities, as well as the evacuation assembly point should we need it!  

The current layout of the school is below.  This includes the room number and current teacher.  When you visit we will give you a copy of the map.

The timetable of the day is as follows:

9am Welcome  Please assemble on the court by the school flagpole (if wet, we will assemble under the 'flatgola' in between Rooms 11/12 and Rms 7/8)

-School Waiata "Ko tenei kura"
-Students share 'What we love about Parkland'
9:30am -  10:40am Student-Led Guided Tours 
Our students will show you around our school.  You will have a chance to visit the classrooms, Hall, Library, grounds and Admin Block (you might even meet our school cat, Kevin!)
10:50am-11:20am Morning Break 
Our students will be out in the playground and staff will be on duty. All classrooms, the Library and the Hall will be open.
11:20am - 12:50pm Class tours 
Our classes will be visiting each classroom during this time, so you will see lots of students moving around the grounds. All classrooms, the Hall and the Library will still be open for you to visit if you missed out on a tour. Please peruse at your leisure, or join a class and go with them on their tour! 
12:50pm - 1pm
Students are back in their classrooms to eat their lunch, before heading out to play at 1pm.
1pm - 1:40pm Lunch Break 
You are welcome to spend time in the playground with us!

Don't forget that at any time you can head to the Staffroom where you can grab yourself a hot drink and a light snack.
